"You guys ready to rock 'n' roll?" asks the announcer at the start of this for-broadcast recording. The crowd response makes the answer clear. And with that, Little Feat launch into the full-throttle boogie of 'Teenage Nervous Breakdown' before checking in with the 'Rock and Roll Doctor' for some of that Southern-fried musical medicine. The title of track of their then latest album, Time Loves a Hero, proves that Lowell George and co. could still rescue fans from "this blue-collar hell" - even if just for one night.

With a set-list featuring highlights from almost every Little Feat album to date ('Texas Rose Cafe', Sailin' Shoes; 'Fat Man in the Bathtub', Dixie Chicken; 'All That You Dream', The Last Record Album), 1978 Radio Hour Broadcast offers a whistle-stop tour through everything that made the Californian outfit such a formidable live unit in the 70s.
