Scorpio Richelle Mead, born November 12, 1976 is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of urban fantasy books for both adults and teens. Before becoming a writer, she considered a few different career paths.     Geschreven bij Storm Born

    Weer een geweldige serie van Richelle Mead! In eerste instantie sprak dit boek me niet zo aan, maar omdat het geschreven is door een van mijn favouriete schrijvers besloot ik het toch te lezen. Ik ben blij dat ik dat gedaan heb, want deze serie is net zo goed als haar andere 2 series (Vampire academy series en de Georgina Kincaid series). De belangrijkste thema's in dit boek zijn: romantiek, actie en politiek, wat in haar andere boeken ook altijd een rol speelt. Het enige minpunt wat ik kan bedenken is het feit dat het boek soms wat voorspelbaar is, maar dit komt vooral doordat ik ook de andere boeken van Richelle mead gelezen hebt. Maar dit is zeker geen reden om dit boek niet te lezen. Het boek heeft weer een erg origineel plot; hoofdpersonage Eugenie is een shamaan die als haar baan geesten die mensen lastig vallen naar de "Underworld" stuurt. Dan krijgt ze een nieuwe klant die wil dat Eugenie zijn zusje terug haalt uit de "Otherworld". De "Otherworld" is een andere wereld waar geesten, Fearies en andere magische wezens leven. En een deel van het verhaal speelt zich dan ook in deze wereld af. Verder is het gewoon een erg leuk boek om te lezen. En ik raad iedereen die houdt van fantasie, romantiek en/of de boeken van Richelle mead aan om dit boek te lezen.
